How to improve your approach and departure angles on your Toyota off-road rig

Learn how to find out your approach and departure angles by using a piece of plywood and a simple angle gage. Push the plywood under your tires and lift it till it hits the lowest part of your body or undercarriage. Once you know these know angles you will have an understanding of the obstacles you will be able to tackle in your off-road rig.
There are a few different ways to improve your approach and departure angles. You can lift your Toyota off road rig. This will raise your frame and lowest hanging items. You can also get larger tires. This will also raise your rig but it will also slightly allow you it tackle the obstacles earlier. Stretching your wheelbase is also another option thus pushing the axles closer to the front and rear of the Toyota off road rig. You can also remove parts of the body like bobbing the bed or removing large unnecessary front bumpers.
