Installing an Icon Adjustable Track Bar on a 5th Gen 4Runner

 In Toyota 4Runner

Does an adjustable track bar stop rubbing

Today we’re installing the Icon Adjustable Track Bar because we are having a collision with the stock track bar against the KDSS system.

First step is to remove the original track bar with the two 19 MM bolts. once the track bar is removed you need to measure the stock track bar and new make the Icon Track Bar the same length. Place the new track bar on to the vehicle and reusing the old hardware. Icon suggest to extend the new track bar 1/16″ for every inch of lift. Tighten the track bar and check all bolts.

UPDATE: I contacted Icon about the issue we are having. Icon said that we need to buy their lower adjustable links to solve this problem. We are now looking into alternitive options.

Thanks for the post. I was just getting ready to purchase this same item but wanted to see what people were thinking about this install. You had mentioned in your video that you were going to find out whether or not the touching/collision of the track bar would have any impact on performance.

Just wondering if this is an install you would recommend having already finished it. Thanks again.
