2 Minute Tuesday: Simply put your break over angle is the angle that doesn’t let you get high centered over an obstacle. If you can clear the top of the mountain or drive over the Rocks, you have a good break over angle. If you get hung up, bottom out, then you probably need to improve your break over angle. To find out how to figure out what your break over angle is you need to know your wheelbase and your ground clearance. From there you will have to do a little math by dividing your wheelbase in half.

Cos(angle) = ground clearance/half wheelbase.

If you raise your vehicle or shrink the wheelbase your break over angle will improve.
